Thank you for your interest in helping organize a talk for the SITN Seminar Series!
Seminar coordinators help individual or group presenters develop and organize their engaging talks by keeping track of deadlines and providing feedback on talk outlines, handouts, and practice presentations. SCs are expected to attend the practice presentation of
the group before yours (if applicable) and the practice talk for your
group on Tuesday the week before your group's scheduled seminar. This is a 4 - 5 hour commitment over the course of a semester. This year's series will be held in person and streamed.
Practice seminars will be either in person or over zoom based on
coordinator and speaker availability.
More details and a friendly starter guide will be emailed to interested applicants. This short form will help us match SCs to speakers based on availability.
We will host a speaker orientation on
Wednesday, October 4th at 6:30 pm on zoom; seminar coordinators who have not given a seminar with SiTN are required to attend. Materials from the orientation will be made available to SCs.
